SENIOR APPLICATION ENGINEER
Location: Sydney, Brisbane or Perth (Hybrid)
Position Summary:
Our Solution Engineering team is a strategic partner to the sales organization, responsible for building a compelling vision of Bentley solutions for users and prospects in large organizations. As a Senior Application Engineer, you will serve as a Bentley Electric Utilities product specialist, preparing content and datasets, delivering presentations, understanding client requirements, and sharing this knowledge with the organization.
By developing a deep understanding of Bentley electric utilities products and user needs, the Application Engineer plays a key role in Account, User, and Product Advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the technical liaison between Account Advancement and User Success teams.
* Create presentations and demonstrations showcasing Bentley Energy Utilities applications.
* Develop datasets for presentations and demonstrations.
* Engage with users to conduct discovery sessions and define requirements.
* Develop multimedia content such as videos for different delivery modes.
* Support sales and marketing events with presentations.
* Assist in proposal development and scope of services.
* Provide feedback on user interactions to improve sales and products.
* Collaborate with Product Teams to stay updated on product releases.
* Contribute to Bentley Communities by sharing tips and answering questions.
* Understand industry standards and methodologies, making relevant product recommendations.
* Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of Electric Utilities design software such as OpenUtilities, PLS-CADD, MicroStation, etc.
* Expertise in T&D industry (design or operations).
* Experience with Asset Information Management solutions is a plus.
* Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
* Ability to explain complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
* Strong problem-solving and independent judgment skills.
* Technical aptitude and quick learning ability.
* Organizational and time management skills.
* Effective collaboration and communication skills.
