As Operations Manager, you will ensure the operational health and success of Sydney Fringe. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage the organisation's compliance and business operations. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO's vision for the festival and year-round programs, ensuring all processes, systems, and resources are efficiently aligned with our strategic goals.
This role involves overseeing human resources, IT, contract management, office administration, and business systems to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
* Review, negotiate, and manage all organisational contracts, working closely with the CEO to ensure compliance and alignment with business goals.
* Oversee the contract management system, ensuring timely renewals and record-keeping.
HR Management
* Lead and mentor the Administration Support resource, and Volunteer Manager, ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively.
* Oversee the recruitment and training, of staff and contractors.
* Manage employee records, contracts, leave entitlements, and compliance with HR policies and legislation.
* Ensure the development and implementation of organisational policies, including workplace health and safety (WH&S), employee wellbeing, and volunteering programs.
Business Operations and Systems Management
* Ensure efficient operation of all business systems, including finance, HR, IT, and office management.
* Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures for financial and operational management.
* Support the CEO and Finance Director in the preparation of the Annual Report, including financial statements, in accordance with government and industry standards.
* Oversee office operations, including IT systems, office supplies, insurance, and telecommunications.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management strategies to safeguard the organisation's assets.
* Oversee the identification and mitigation of operational and business risks.

* Proficient in commercial contract review, negotiation, and management.
