About the role

Our client is seeking a Business Manager – Bunnings to lead and grow their portfolio with one of Australia’s largest hardware retailers. This is a strategic, high‑impact sales leadership role responsible for driving revenue and margin growth, developing and executing account plans, and managing a team of direct reports and agency partners. The successful candidate will:

* Lead and develop a high‑performing team, coaching and mentoring to build capability, depth, and diversity.
* Drive commercial negotiations including pricing, rebates, volumes, promotions, and growth incentives.
* Build and leverage multi‑level relationships across internal teams, Bunnings stakeholders, and external partners to deliver strategic outcomes.
* Use data and insights to inform category planning, space allocation, and market strategy, making informed, high‑impact decisions.
* Identify opportunities to simplify processes, focus on high‑value initiatives, and execute with speed and precision.

Skills and experience required

* Proven track record in sales leadership, preferably within hardware, building solutions, or a related industry.
* Experience managing strategic accounts and navigating multi‑level stakeholder relationships, ideally with large national retailers.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiations, pricing strategy, and delivering profitable growth.
* Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire others.
* Highly organised, analytical, and able to simplify complex situations to focus on the most impactful opportunities.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment and leading change initiatives.
