Local Representative - Newcastle & Forster Region Location: Newcastle & Forster, NSW Position Type: Permanent Reporting To: Service Branch Manager, Newcastle NSW Package: $110k-$115k Super Car Allowance Bonus Vehicle: Fully maintained company vehicle and fuel card provided About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrician/ Lift Technician to take on a Local Area Representative role within a global lift company. This role will cover the Newcastle and Forster regions. In this role, you will oversee field operations, customer relationships, maintenance and business development initiatives across your designated area. With a balance of field and office responsibilities 85% Field work on the tools %15 Office split, you'll play a key role in driving operational efficiency, safety compliance, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Field-Based Duties 85%: Reduce call-outs through proactive asset management and scheduled maintenance on vertical transport, lifts, elevators etc. Achieve maintenance targets in accordance with contract requirements. Minimise equipment downtime through timely repair coordination and estimate submissions to Sales. Manage repair works with customers and subcontractors. Build trusted customer relationships to support retention and growth. Conduct field audits and ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards. On Call Work every other weekend. Office-Based Duties 15%: Manage routine maintenance scheduling and meet contractual obligations. Monitor repair budgets and support achievement of new business targets. Oversee procurement and stock control of parts and equipment. Respond to customer queries and concerns in a prompt, solution-focused manner. Attend customer meetings and provide technical input. Assist with tenders, modernisation projects, and service-related sales opportunities. Provide regular reporting and identify process improvement opportunities. What You'll Need NSW Electrical License (mandatory). Trade qualification as an Electrician/Fitter/Mechanic. Additional studies in Electronics are highly regarded. Lift Experience an understanding in vertical transportation. IT proficiency and team leadership experience. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Commercial mindset and ability to collaborate with Sales teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage end-to-end projects and meet KPIs.
