At Ovial International Pty. Ltd, our mission is to deliver exceptional bakery experiences through quality products, friendly service, and genuine hospitality. Position Overview: We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Retail Manager at Ovial International Pty.

Ltd for our business Brumby’s Bakery Gladstone. This role is responsible for the effective selling of products, providing expert advice to customers on product selection and use, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The position oversees all retail operations, maintaining safety and compliance with company standards.

The Retail Manager is also responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and organising the bakery layout, while ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of daily tasks and promotional activities. Tasks & responsibilities:

- Responsible for organising and controlling all the operations of bakery.
- Manage inventory and stocks of essential items required in baking, daily reconciliation, banking and other administrative duties as required.
- Collaborate with bakery/franchise owners to align retail strategies with organizational goals
- Oversee and coordinate daily production operations of the bakery, ensuring consistent quality, freshness, and timely availability of Brumby’s signature baked products.
- Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure consistency in product quality, freshness, and timely availability of baked goods.
- Collaborate with bakery and franchise owners to align retail and production strategies with organisational goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed financial targets
- Bakery product selection and setting up prices in consultation with franchiser by implementing competitive purchasing and pricing policies to reduce expenditure and increase sales
- Organise sales promotions and in-store events
- Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
- Resolving staffing issues and stock discrepancies
- Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation
- Ensure the customer experience is positive, leading to new opportunities and repeat business.
- Contribute to a safe and positive work environment
- Deciding which bakery products to offer, how much stock to keep, and the level of customer service to provide
- Ensuring organisational policies and procedures are followed
- Effectively manages the store profit and loss and accurately forecasts resource demands
- Control costs without compromising standards and customer service
- Ensure occupational health and safety guidelines are always maintained and adhered by the staff.
- Ensure high-quality service, handle complaints, train staff.
- Coordinate with other departments and communicate goals
- Oversee stock levels, manage orders, conduct inventory audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Diploma or higher in the relevant field.

At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.

- At least one (1) year of relevant experience.

- Salary commensurate with experience - $77,000 to $80,000 plus guaranteed superannuation.
