About the Position

We are excited to welcome a Therapist (Social Worker, Counsellor, or Psychologist) to our Counselling and Intervention team in Wooloowin! In this role, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic support to children and families, working towards improved psychosocial outcomes. You will deliver evidence-based interventions while fostering and strengthening supportive relationships with adult caregivers.

* Level 6 SCHCADS Award.
* Salary range: $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
* Full-time, maximum term contract opportunity until 28 February 2027.
Key Responsibilities
* Make a meaningful impact by delivering high‐quality, trauma‐informed therapeutic services to children, young people, and their families, supporting positive and lasting change.
* Strengthen families and support networks by actively engaging caregivers and building protective, supportive relationships around each child.
* Collaborate for better outcomes by working closely with multidisciplinary professionals and community and government agencies to develop effective, client‐centred case plans.
* Grow and thrive in your practice by managing a varied caseload, contributing to case reviews, maintaining high‐quality documentation, and engaging in regular supervision and professional development.

About You
* Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (social work, counselling, or psychology) with professional registration (if required) and, a membership in a professional association (desirable).
* Demonstrate at least two (2) years' experience working with children, young people and their families within the child protection framework.
* Experience providing individual and family therapy to clients, informed through your knowledge of current trauma treatment trends, child protection legislation, and policy reforms.
* Proven understanding of the impact of trauma on child and family functioning and the ability to provide a therapeutic response.
Other Requirements
* Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
* Current driver's licence.
* Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
