Senior Banking/Finance Lawyer (5yrs‐Senior Associate)

YOUR ROLE
As a key part of our internationally acclaimed banking/finance team, you will represent blue‐chip clients and advise on intellectually stimulating sophisticated transactions including multi‐level, jurisdictional and international deals. You will also ensure compliance with the Banking Act and Prudential Standards, AML legislation, privacy, credit reporting and the PPSA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Corporate/leveraged/structured/trade/project, construction/ECA finance
* Management buy‐outs, leveraged buy‐outs, cross‐border financing, opco/propco restructurings, inter‐creditor arrangements and real estate investment
* Compliance with banking and financial legislation (Banking Act, Prudential Standards, AML, privacy, credit reporting, PPSA)

QUALIFICATIONS
* 5‐10+ years of practical experience in banking/finance law, typically at a 1st/2nd‐tier firm, specialist boutique, or in‐house counsel
* Strong research, technical legal skills and commercial acumen; ability to provide practical and relevant advice
* Outstanding people and leadership skills
* Proven ability to take ownership of files and manage client relationships
