Job Title: Parksite Supervisor
Manage park operations, oversee maintenance activities and supervise staff in conservation projects.
The role involves supervising teams undertaking various tasks such as bushfire fuel reduction, track maintenance, fencing, visitor infrastructure upkeep, minor construction and land management. These responsibilities also include planting, weed control and pest animal management.
* Bushfire mitigation through slashing and grazing practices.
* Maintenance of park tracks and trails.
* Installation and repair of fencing systems.
* Minor construction and renovation work.
Additional duties may include incident response, participation in fire standby, suppression and training exercises. A C-class driver's license with 4WD experience is required along with the willingness to wear a uniform.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Mandatory:
* Ability to undertake after-hours duties and incident management including participation in fire standby, suppression and training.
* Valid C-class driver's license preferably with 4WD experience.
* Preparedness to wear a uniform.
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
Highly Desirable:
* Demonstrated experience in operating and maintaining equipment and machinery.
* Class MR Medium rigid vehicle license with manual transmission preferred.
* Tertiary qualifications in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent desirable.
