About the Role
We are seeking two experienced journalists to cover south-west Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Finding and telling compelling stories that reflect the unique character of western Queensland.
* Producing content for local and national audiences.
* Engaging with local community leaders and stakeholders on behalf of ABC.
* Working independently to chase stories and deliver content.
We require individuals with a genuine curiosity of regional stories, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to source, analyse, and verify information. You should have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills and experience, a creative approach to content creation, and a strong understanding of issues important to local audiences.
