Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the SA/NT market, or the region that is consistent with the company's overall sales strategy, policies, procedures and objectives
* Manage and maintain relationships with key accounts and generate new business opportunities through existing networks
* Lead the sales team to achieve and exceed sales budgets and state-based targets
* Develop, secure and convert profitable opportunities
* Liaise, train and support the SA Sales Team (two direct reports) enabling them to execute and convert opportunities
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports and forecasts
* Oversee performance management of under-performing sales staff
* Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
* Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs
* Liaise with Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and drive product success
* Liaise and promote healthy, supportive relationships with internal staff
* Update and maintain a database of clients in Salesforce through the CRM system
* Maintain a thorough understanding of our company's products and services and its capabilities to service our customers
Key Qualities & Experience
* Proven, recent experience in the Australian electrical wholesale market, with a strong track record in B2B or B2T sales
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Australian electrical wholesale market is required
* Strong technical understanding of LED lighting solutions will be a significant advantage
* Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring a sales team
* Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills to build trust with key external clients and internal stakeholders
* Effective time management skills in prioritising and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands
* A commitment to excellence in customer service and an empathy with customers and internal staff
* Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, marketing or a related field, or similar relevant technical trade qualifications
* An entrepreneurial and growth focused mindset
* Experience using CRM, preferably Salesforce
