Job Title
Our organisation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Family Social Worker to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis until October 2026.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide social work services to children and families referred to our organisation. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, as well as their families and communities.

Job Description
Working collaboratively within a strengths-based, family-centred approach, you will assess, intervene and manage cases involving children (0-12 years) with developmental vulnerability. This role requires effective communication, report writing and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of Child Safe practices and child protection legislation.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your professional skills through high-quality clinical supervision, training and education programs, including accreditation as a facilitator of the Tuning in to Kids and Seasons for Growth programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work, eligible for membership with AASW.
* Demonstrated understanding of paediatric social work principles, including family support work, child interventions, parent counselling and coaching, and short-term targeted casework.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and file notes.
* Knowledge of Child Safe practices and capacity to assess and respond to child safety and wellbeing.
* Understanding of family-centred and strengths-based care, trauma-informed approaches, and cultural diversity.
