We are seeking a permanent full‐time CSSD Team Leader to join our Sterilisation team. In this role, you will provide advanced technical expertise and day‐to‐day supervision within the CSSD, supporting, guiding and mentoring Technicians to ensure safe, efficient and high‐quality reprocessing practices.
Our CSSD services Theatres, the Cath Lab and the Day Surgery Centre, across a diverse case mix including orthopaedics, general surgery, endoscopy, cardiac, maternity and robotics. The department primarily supports inpatient theatres and operates on a rotating weekday roster of day and evening shifts.

The Position
Provide guidance, supervision and coordination for Instrument Technicians (Grades 1–4). Support daily CSSD operations and workflow management aligned to theatre activity across Theatres, Cath Lab and Day Surgery. Perform and oversee complex sterilisation and reprocessing processes including specialised instruments, robotics and high‐risk devices. Ensure compliance with AS 5369:2023, infection control standards and internal policies. Assist with staff training, mentoring and competency development. Monitor sterilisation documentation, traceability and quality assurance processes. Coordinate loan kit management, equipment processes and vendor communication. Support quality improvement initiatives, audits and regulatory compliance activities.
You will hold a Certificate IV in Health Services (Sterilisation) and bring advanced experience across all areas of sterilisation and reprocessing, including low‐temperature sterilisation and loan kit systems. A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to provide effective supervision, guidance and coordination of the CSSD team. You will also bring strong knowledge of AS/NZS 4187 standards, a solid understanding of relevant infection control requirements, and confidence working with a diverse case mix, including exposure to advanced technology such as robotics, scopes and modern sterilisation systems.

Salary: $80,5959 per annum per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuationPermanent full-time position available.
