Responsibilities
Execute highly technical workflows to resolve complex client finance issues and ensure rapid, accurate delivery.
Provide backup support for urgent client deliverables or mentor colleagues through challenging finance tasks.
Review and optimise workflows—identify inefficiencies, suggest enhancements and boost accuracy, productivity and SLAs.
Maintain documentation—keep client manuals, process maps and internal guides up to date and accessible.
Uphold service excellence with real-time quality checks, low error rates and exceptional customer outcomes.
Design best-practice processes for bookkeeping, payroll and reporting to drive operational consistency.
Collaborate on automation—work alongside Product & Engineering to embed automated checks, API integrations and AI-driven controls.
Analyse trends and errors in finance workflows to proactively strengthen training, QA standards and process safeguards.
Qualifications
A strong foundation in finance operations, with hands-on experience across bookkeeping, payroll, AP/AR, financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting.
Comfort working with systems and processes—think end-to-end, identifying how each step fits into the bigger picture and where things can be improved.
A systems thinking mindset—understand how workflows, people, and technology intersect, and enjoy designing processes that scale.
Experience using cloud accounting platforms like Xero or similar tools, and confidence navigating third-party apps or automation tools.
Exposure to working with or alongside product and engineering teams, especially in fast-paced or tech-enabled environments.
An interest in AI and automation, and how these technologies can improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight across finance workflows.
A mindset of continuous improvement, always looking to increase accuracy, consistency, and impact in the way finance services are delivered.
You may be a registered BAS or tax agent, or hold a CA or CPA qualification—but we're just as interested in your experience and approach as we are your credentials.
