About this Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Government Affairs team as a skilled professional. You will play a crucial role in shaping Optus' relationship with governments around Australia and the public service.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders at federal and state levels, including politicians, advisors, and senior public service officials.
* Provide strategic advice and insights to the Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs and the broader Corporate Affairs and Marketing team on emerging policy and political issues impacting Optus.
* Engage with various Optus business units to understand their strategic and commercial objectives and identify opportunities for collaboration with government.
* Assist in the development and execution of Optus' Government Affairs strategy, including the creation of advocacy plans and key messaging.
Your Key Responsibilities
* DEVELOP STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY GOVERNMENT STAKEHOLDERS AT FEDERAL AND STATE LEVELS.
* PROVIDE STRATEGIC ADVICE AND INSIGHTS ON EMERGING POLICY AND POLITICAL ISSUES IMPACTING OPTUS.
* ENGAGE WITH VARIOUS BUSINESS UNITS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR OBJECTIVES AND IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION WITH GOVERNMENT.
