Overview
Property Insight is hiring for a software developer to work within a data development team engaged in various back-end software solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Apply the full systems life cycle, including design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Duties
1. Design, develop, test, deliver, and support reliable, automated big data ETL, integration, and product delivery solutions.
2. Participate in project meetings with other technical staff, business owners, and subject matter experts.
3. Work within a collaborative environment with minimal supervision where teamwork and communication are key, while also providing opportunities for self-directed work and problem-solving.
4. Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, and product evaluation.
5. Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices are maintained.
6. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a focus on timeliness, documentation, and communication with peers and business users alike.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
Experience
1. Working knowledge of cloud-based data services (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
2. Background with project management in an Agile/SCRUM environment using Azure DevOps.
3. Proficiency using reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, etc.
4. Database Administration and Relational database schema design.
5. SQL Server T-SQL Tuning.
6. Visio Flow Charting.
7. Entity Relationship Diagraming and Data Dictionary Creation.
8. Alternative database technologies such as NoSQL, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. 5+ years of professional experience in back-end software development.
2. Proficiency in development technologies such as C# .Net, Visual Studio, and SSIS. Experience with additional tools like Azure Data Factory, Power BI, or SSRS is a plus.
3. Mastery working with data technologies such as SQL Server, JSON, XML.
4. Strong technical background with a mix of data, programming, and workflow automation skills.
5. Experience building and optimizing data pipeline architectures, data ingestion, and workflow management tools.
6. Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
7. Solid understanding of systems analysis, design, development, integration methodologies, and quality assurance.
8. Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and assist junior developers in skill development.
