1. Schedule - Includes weekday and weekend shifts
2. Tenure – full time, ongoing
3. Salary - Offered in the range of $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum

If you’re a talented Chef looking for a current challenge managing the busy kitchen at this coastal venue, delivering outstanding culinary experiences and designing fresh, seasonal menus for beachside dining and special occasions, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities of our Chef will include:
1. Lead, guide and inspire the kitchen team to deliver the best results.
2. Assist in the hiring and training of new cooks and kitchen staff.
3. Supervise (and participate in) the preparation of all meals.
4. Manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting.
5. In consultation with the Management team, develop, test, and introduce new menu items.
6. Ensure strict compliance with OH&S; and Food Safety standards.
7. Work alongside the management team.
About you:
1. You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.
2. You can demonstrate an uncompromising attitude towards flavour and presentation of the highest quality, whilst aligning and motivating a cohesive and hardworking team environment.
3. Are empathetic to those around you and work well under pressure.
4. Experience with fresh, seasonal pub-style cuisine and high-volume bistro service preferred.
To be successfully considered for the role, you:
1. Possess excellent relevant post-secondary cookery related qualifications, to at least Diploma level or agreed substitute.
2. Have at least three years’ experience since earning your qualifications in a similar professional capacity.
3. Are available across the working week and weekends.
4. Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
5. Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
6. Understand cost control, time management, prioritization, and cost-efficient procurement practices.
7. Are an excellent people manager able to get the most out of your team.
