About the role
NSW Public Works (NSW PW) is part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and supports many different local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join the North Coast team working in the Coffs Harbour Office. As a NSW Public Works Project Manager you will be expected to manage and contribute to the planning and delivery of building and civil infrastructure projects and ensure time, cost, quality, safety and environment targets, and corporate expectations are met.
The role provides an exciting chance to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and participate in business development activities, contributing towards opportunities for repeat and new business.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience of project management delivering construction contracts or managing design consultants. You will be articulate and possess the capability to foster business relationships. To be considered for this role, you will require:
Appropriate university qualifications. In architecture, building, project management, civil engineering, or similar relevant qualifications.
Demonstrated understanding and experience in managing the planning, procurement, and delivery of building works. Experience in NSW Health is advantageous.
Construction, design, or contract management experience, including consultant or construction contracts, and preferably GC21 and MW21 contract administration.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team when required.
Contribute to infrastructure planning and delivery by actively participating in project planning meetings and executing assigned tasks.
Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
Strong relationship skills, with an ability to influence positive outcomes and provide excellent client service.
Leadership qualities, sound reasoning, and acute problem-solving ability.
Strong "self-starting" motivation and a desire to succeed.
A natural inclination to assist others.
Strong ability to produce clear, professionally written content, and effectively utilise digital tools and platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Project), to support project delivery.
Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel if required.
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of current Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
