Key Account Manager – Mining & Process Equipment (Hybrid)
About the Company
Our client is an Australian-owned supplier of engineered equipment and wear solutions that improve reliability in demanding industries. With a strong reputation in the mining and mineral processing sector, they also support projects in bulk handling, quarrying, and energy production.
The business delivers long-life components and consumables used in abrasive, corrosive, and high-temperature environments. Their solutions reduce unplanned downtime, extend equipment service life, and lower total cost of ownership. Customers include tier-1 and mid-tier mining houses, with direct engagement across WA's iron ore, gold, and base metals operations.
The Role
This Key Account Manager role will grow and manage a portfolio of mining and processing clients across Western Australia. The position is a mix of account management and business development, reporting to the Sales Manager, and will see you on site regularly working with engineers and maintenance teams to deliver value-adding solutions. The office is based in south of Perth, close to Rockingham. While you'll have the flexibility to work from home while travelling out in the field, every week or so our client would like for you to check into the office in order to maintain positive relationships with others in the office.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing existing accounts while identifying new opportunities across major WA mining projects.
* Selling a portfolio of pumps, flow-control products, wear parts, and protective linings used in slurry transport and processing circuits.
* Advising clients on solutions for piping systems, chutes, hoppers, launders, cyclones, and dust suppression equipment.
* Engaging with process engineers, maintenance planners, reliability managers, and procurement stakeholders to scope, quote, and deliver technical solutions.
* Meeting and exceeding sales budgets, while reporting insights on market activity.
* Regular regional travel to mine sites in the Goldfields, Pilbara, and Mid-West.
About You
We're seeking a commercially astute technical sales professional with proven experience in the resources sector.
You will bring:
* 5+ years in technical sales to mining or heavy industries
* Hands-on knowledge and an understanding of slurry pumps, piping systems, wear-resistant materials, or flow-control equipment.
* The ability to translate technical performance benefits into clear commercial outcomes.
* Proven track record of building strong client relationships and achieving targets.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Metallurgy, or Business (desirable, not essential).
* Current Australian driver's licence and flexibility to travel.
