We have an opportunity for an apprentice carpenter to come on board who would thrive in a challenging fast paced environment. This opportunity is open to either a recent school leaver looking to take their first step in their career, or someone who has already started their apprenticeship journey with a previous employer and is needing a new role.
If you have a passion and the commitment to become a skilled trade and bonus you like adventure, fishing and the idea of working in challenging geographical locations and working in unique parts of Australia we want to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to learn your trade end to end with a diverse range of projects with varying scopes and various NT locations such as Arnhem Land, Kakadu National Park and the Big Rivers Region.
Our business is known as a "do it all" Building and Trade service provider. Holding both Commercial and Residential Builders Licenses as well as an Electrical License we deliver complete Government projects and contracts ranging from community housing maintenance and remediation, extensions, new builds as well as commercial projects on assets such as Government and Council buildings, schools, hospitals and health clinics, ranger stations, visitor centres and public use assets such as amenity blocks. Our approach goes beyond traditional building and construction.
We have been in operation for over 8 years in the NT and specialises in Remote Maintenance and Building servicing both Residential and Commercial Clients. We work in town locations and some of Australia's most remote locations sometimes up to 8hrs drive from the nearest hardware store. Our Clients Include Federal Government, State Government, Local Councils and NGO's.

We are committed to the Katherine Region and developing it's trade skillset, being proud to achieve what we believe to be one of the highest, if not the highest number of local trade apprentices not only employed, but successfully completing trade qualifications with us over the years to further support the regions development.
Role overview:
The work - Trades, Labourers and Apprentices will generally work a 10-11hr day, this varies depending the project you are on. The duties and scope of our projects are always varying include maintenance and remediation, Concreting, Structural Steel, Framing, Fit-Out, Roofing, Cladding, Landscaping and Fencing, so you will have the best opportunity to have hands on experience learning every aspect of your trade.

Main responsibilities -
* Support and work with senior trades in varying scoped projects
* Complete tasks and skill assessments that align with your skill year in order to successful work through your apprenticeship
* Attend mandatory Trade School blocks (located in Darwin)
* Assist in the workshop and on site
* Coordinate yourself and your schedule to meet deadlines
* Ensure adherence to all plans and directions
* Liaise with tenants and suppliers in a mature and professional manner
* Participate in regular site checks, toolbox meetings, and site inductions
* Keep accurate daily records, logs, and documentation of work completed and time recording
* Learn and comply with WHS directions, and complete mandatory safety and compliance documents and training through SiteDocs and Multiply Me platforms.
* Represent the business with professionalism and integrity
What you will bring:
* A mature mindset, safety and professionalism are our priorities
* Driver's license and confidence on the road- we work remote so you will need to travel, sometimes alone between sites and communities. You will also need to go to suppliers and collect materials.
* Ability to work away from home when required - we organise worker accommodation but you will need to be able to feed and fend for yourself.
* Capacity to obtain and hold police checks and Ochre (NT working with children check)
* Sound communication skills to deal with suppliers and other trades and labourers
* Ability to keep accurate written records and documentation
* Team player
