Insurance commercial lines operations team lead

This position will be responsible for managing, developing, and supporting commercial lines service personnel. This role will encompass people management, talent development, and performance management to ensure monthly and/or yearly goals are achieved. This position is a supervisor role.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

* Provide overall management and oversight of the daily operations.
* Ensure and improve the performance, efficiency, and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through effective methods and strategies.
* Improve processes that support organizational goals, implement policies to maximize overall productivity, and lead a team of service representatives toward achieving and exceeding goals.
* Foster knowledge sharing among employees to address issues surrounding workflow, markets, products, industry issues, and best practices.
* Assist with management of appropriate projects identified as opportunities to improve efficiencies and workflows.
* Compose and distribute urgent and routine correspondence to the account management teams.
* Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
* Design and implement systems and procedures to reflect operational improvements and to meet financial and performance goals.
* Establish the standard of client and agent service, and promote compliance with agency service standards and expectations.
* Develop, document, and audit agency operating procedures, service standards, and service expectations.
* Interview and hire personnel, conduct team member training and performance evaluations, and coordinate work schedules.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, adjusting as necessary to ensure learning and team member retention.
* Lead and direct the work activities and have full management responsibility for the performance and development of subordinate staff.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 8–10 years of work experience in Property and Casualty Insurance field.
* 5 years of direct experience managing sales and/or service representatives within an insurance agency or insurance carrier.
* Possess an active Property & Casualty license.
* Previous experience with Applied Epic preferred but not required.
* Verified technical expertise in the areas of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Problem solver with excellent analytical skills.
* Willingness to take ownership of initiatives and perform in a fast‐paced environment.
* Excellent organizational and time‐management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated strong computer skills with an emphasis in MS Office.
* Maintain a complete understanding of rules, regulations and laws impacting the Property & Casualty Agency.
* Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.

This position follows a 4‐1 workweek and is an in‐office role based in our Plano, Texas office. Employees are expected to be on‐site four days per week and may work remotely one day per week.
