Part-Time Position Available-Bowls Coordinator
Towradgi Park Bowls and Recreation Club
Purpose of the position-To coordinate all bowling activities for Towradgi Park Bowling and Recreation Club. The Bowls Coordinator works with the CEO and Bowls Committees to ensure the smooth and professional running of the club’s social bowls, club championships, district and State events.
Position Responsibilities
-Coordinate and oversee all social and competition bowls events including entries, draws, cards, prize money, presentations and results.
-Drive participation in competition and social bowls events.
-Develop and publish the annual bowls calendar inclusive of club, regional and state competitions.
-Coordinate the delivery of the overall bowls program and daily running of bowls events.
-Develop sponsorship opportunities.
-Liaise with the Regional Coordinator and Bowls NSW to understand and implement all compliance and procedural obligations.
-Communicate important information to members such as changes, cancellations, results via agreed communication avenues. For example -Stack Team App/Facebook.
-Work in conjunction with our CEO to drive our online presence by promoting Club Tournaments and attracting new bowling members.
-Maintain the clubs bowling membership database, ensuring all players are registered with Bowls NSW.
-Arrange and oversee 4 Club Tournaments each calendar year.
-Be the club’s point of contact for all matters relating to bowls. Act as chair and minute taker for bowls committee meetings.
-Liaise with the Greenkeepers, Club Management and Bowls Committee to coordinate the use of the Greens.
-Preparing a detailed Bowls report for monthly Board Meetings.
Essential Requirements
-Experience in a similar role or bowls environment preferable.
-Excellent communication and organization skills.
-Proficiency in computer applications.
-Ability to self-manage and multi-task.
-Marketing and promotions experience would be considered beneficial to the position.
-Ability to work collaboratively with existing office holders and bowls related committees.
-Appetite for growing the business and promoting the game of bowls.
