About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the team in our Broome Workshop.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Light Vehicle Mechanic is an integral part of KRSP's operational team who contributes to our success by ensuring the reliable availability of KRSP's fleet of vehicles.

Key responsibilities of the role:
* Conduct scheduled maintenance on light vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan
* Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions, identifying and resolving issues efficiently
* Respond to emergency breakdown repairs
* Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the light vehicle fleet
* Maintain accurate and complete service records
Location
This is a permanent, residential role based at our Broome depot.
What you will need
An ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity and safe work practices together with a positive mindset.
Essential criteria:
* Trade Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent mechanical trade qualification
* Minimum 3 years post trade experience
* Extensive knowledge of light vehicles with focus on light 4x4 vehicles
* Advanced fault finding and diagnostic ability
* Current C class driver's licence and a good driving history
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with an adaptability to different audiences
* Action-oriented approach
* Ability to work within a small team with a cohesive mindset
* Excellent time management skills
* National Police Clearance
Desirable criteria:
* Experience with plant and equipment, earthmoving equipment, and trucks
* Medium to Heavy Rigid (MR/HR) driver's license
* First aid certification
* White Card
