Brothers Leagues Club Cairns is the home of Fratelli's Café & Restaurant, Bistro 26, Shamrock Bar, Q Sports Bar, entertainment & function spaces and a modern Gaming Lounge. With 5 diverse function locations this role beckons for a driven, polished professional with exemplary people skills.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Functions and Events Coordinator who is customer service driven, extremely organised, loves the rush of a busy environment and has great attention to detail.

In this role you will be responsible for making our clients thoughts and visions become a reality. From start to finish, you will be involved in meeting with potential clients, providing the quote, contract and finally coordinating the event.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Coordinating all aspects of the functions and events held at the club, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
* Effectively cost all functions and shows to ensure profitability and budgetary requirements.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal/external suppliers, ensuring a smooth and efficient planning process.
* Facilitate all elements of the planning process with the internal teams including the kitchen team, wait staff, cellar, and the Manager on duty.
* Liaise with the Functions & Events Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate staffing for all functions and events.
* Coordinate and lead a team of staff, including bar and wait staff, to ensure successful delivery of functions and events.

What We Are Looking For

What you will bring to the table:

* Diploma in Hospitality or Events Management or relevant experience.
* Operational food and beverage experience including staff management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and the team.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
