As a **Retail Sales Manager**, you will report to Channel Business Manager based in **Eastern Creek, NSW**. You will manage the retail sales business in the assigned states ensuring all sales, revenue and growth targets are achieved.
**Responsibilities**
- Increase productivity and efficiency improvements including head count productivity as a % of sales.
- Manage field team overhead expenditure following budget.
- Lead field forecasting efforts among the team managed, ensuring that accurate forecasts and plans are completed.
- Identify development opportunities among the field sales team and work to improve individuals' knowledge and capabilities through coaching and development.
- Manage staff using PPG human resources practices in performance management, goal setting, leadership development, professional development, and succession planning.
- Support employee engagement.
- Maintain monthly work with Days with direct reports, providing coaching conversations to develop team and improve sales results.
- Manage and review team personal development plans.
- Develop working relationships with main regional accounts and regional/senior managers in National Accounts.
- Create local sales strategies and programs to achieve both short
- and long-term goals.
- Promote customer and account engagement with a clear store training and paint academy program.
- Communicate and build national/channel programs and activities.
- Grow market share in AC portfolio in Bunnings channel via implementing business strategy.
**Requirements**:
- Proven successful track record in sales management and development. Team size 10+, experience working across regions.
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management is preferred.
- Commercial knowledge of the coatings industry.
- High-level negotiation skills
- Proficiency in CRM software SAP Cloud for customer or similar.
- Previous experience dealing with Bunnings stores and management.
