Your new companyJoin a major organisation driving a large-scale data modernisation program. This project focusses on re-platforming analytics and migrating data from legacy systems to a modern Microsoft Fabric environment. You'll be part of a high-performing team delivering critical outcomes for business and research stakeholders.Your new roleAs a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in gathering and translating requirements for complex data and analytics initiatives. Acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, you'll ensure successful delivery of project milestones and support the transition to BAU. Key responsibilities include:Eliciting and documenting data requirements from diverse stakeholdersTranslating business needs into actionable technical specifications and user storiesCoordinating with internal DevOps teams and external vendorsManaging Jira stories and supporting risk and issue resolutionAssisting with change management and stakeholder communicationsWhat you'll need to succeedProven experience in Business Analysis within data, BI, or analytics projectsAbility to act as Product Owner and manage backlog in JiraStrong understanding of data concepts: ingestion, modelling, quality, and pipelinesExcellent stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination skillsFamiliarity with Jira and Confluence (essential); SAS and Microsoft Fabric (advantageous)What you'll get in returnThis is an initial 9-month contract with an immediate start for the right candidate. You will work as part of a dedicated and collaborative team and work on a high-impact project. This role will require you to work in the office in Newcastle 3 days per week.
