About the opportunity
Join our Environmental Services Department. We are seeking qualified, motivated Patient Services Assistants to join our Environmental team in Mental Health. You will be an integral member of our team and provide patient-centric cleaning duties, food & beverage services, and patient support.
Part-time shifts: variety of hours; Day shift, Afternoon shift, Night shift; Weekend shifts available. Located at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Responsible for ensuring that Victorian Public Health cleaning and Food Safety standards are met.
What you'll bring
* Health Services Assistant Certificate III, or equivalent, or working towards completing
* Current Food Handling Certificate
* Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to understand Patients' diet codes
* Commitment to policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and the public
You will be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
