Clinical Supervisor - Oral Health Therapy Curtin University Perth, WA Dental (Healthcare and Medical) Other (Education and Training) Contract/Temp $102,506 - 110,061 (G07) pro rata 3.5% increase Job Reference: 1006957 About the Role: We are looking to appoint fixed-term clinical supervisors to join our team for Semester 2 clinic operations, located in Nedlands and Mount Henry. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of clinical services by students in our Bachelor of Science (Oral Health Therapy) course. You will collaborate closely with academic staff and other clinical supervisors to support students as they enhance their clinical knowledge and practical skills. You will be responsible for supervising students while they treat patients, ensuring a high standard of patient care, safety, and learning within our clinic environments. As these roles may involve supervision of the provision of restorative oral health care to children and adults, a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy qualification (or equivalent), which includes this scope of practice, is very highly desirable. Please note, as per Curtin's 2022-2025 EBA, a 3.5% salary increase will also take effect on 20 June 2025. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervising and supporting students in clinical settings and facilitating student-led sessions. Ensure safe practice according to professional standards and legislation. Implement compliant clinical education strategies. Utilize evidence-based practices for skill development feedback. Promote communication between students, patients, and clinical partners. Lead reflection and debrief sessions. Maintain a high level of customer service. Collaborate on clinical skill development strategies. Provide clinical services to meet operational needs as necessary. Selection Criteria—who we are looking for: A degree in a relevant health discipline and current registration with the relevant professional association, with at least three years of clinical experience in the relevant clinical area. Demonstrated advanced knowledge and clinical skills in one or more areas of professional practice. Demonstrated advanced understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as an effective educator. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative methods of instruction for students and supervisors in skills, knowledge, and behaviors of relevance to the profession. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, multi-, and manage time effectively Desirable A postgraduate in a relevant health discipline. Evidence of professional development in clinical education.
