Senior Clinical Psychologist
About the Role
This position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to children, youth, and families. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our service and driving innovation in child and adolescent mental health.
The successful candidate will possess advanced clinical expertise, demonstrated leadership in influencing change, and a commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care. You will have a strong background in mental health assessment, intervention, and care planning for children and young people with complex presentations.
In this dynamic role, you will work closely with other disciplines, including psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and dietitians, to provide holistic, trauma-informed, carer-inclusive care. You will also be responsible for supervising students and early career psychologists, as well as driving service improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert assessment and evidence-based psychological treatments for children, youth, and their families experiencing complex mental health concerns.
* Work collaboratively with other disciplines to deliver comprehensive, client-centered care.
* Supervise students and early career psychologists to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality care.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives that drive positive outcomes for clients.
Requirements
* Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration or recognized equivalent.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes.
* Extensive experience working with acute mental distress in child and youth community mental health settings.
