A leading Australian enterprise software provider is seeking a driven Account Director to build its education portfolio across SA and WA. This role suits someone who enjoys business development, understands the rhythm of application software sales and takes ownership of a territory with long-term potential.
Your focus will centre on opening new conversations, rebuilding relationships and developing a structured pipeline you can progress through to closure. You will lead commercial discussions and draw on presales and subject matter specialists when deeper support is needed.
Your activity will shape the direction of this sector. You will plan your outreach, map decision makers, qualify opportunities quickly and maintain steady momentum across early-stage conversations. You will also travel across SA and WA when required to meet stakeholders, present solutions and progress opportunities.
What you will do
* Create and manage a pipeline across the Education sector
* Drive outbound activity to initiate conversations and uncover new opportunities
* Re-engage existing accounts and rebuild relationships
* Develop structured territory plans that align with sector potential
* Coordinate with internal specialists for demonstrations and proposals
* Lead commercial negotiations and maintain accurate forecasting
What you will bring
* Around 3-5 years experience in software or technology sales
* A clear hunter mindset and confidence building relationships from scratch
* Strong communication and commercial judgement
* Ability to manage multi-step sales processes and qualify effectively
* Comfort working with technical teams and navigating complex accounts
* Willingness to travel within SA and WA
