The Bureau of Meteorology are seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Apps Application Developer who has experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and providing technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Designing and developing Power Apps to support FWIN business processes
* Implementing Dataverse as the primary data store for FWIN records
* Designing and configuring Power Automate flows to support data validation, workflow automation, and notifications
* Migrating existing data from SharePoint Lists to Dataverse
* Ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the migration process
* Applying appropriate security roles, permissions, and governance controls
* Collaborating with business users to refine requirements and iterate solutions
* Producing clear technical and operational documentation, including:
o Data model and solution design
o Application configuration
o Support and maintenance requirements
* Delivering user training, knowledge transfer, and hyper‐care support following deployment
Technical skills required but not limited to
* Experience developing Microsoft Power Apps canvas/model driven apps and Power Automate flows
* Consulting skills such as solution architecture design, and stakeholder management
* Experience implementing governance policies for applications and data within Dataverse
* Strong communication skills for collaborating across internal teams
* Ability to troubleshoot and optimise performance of complex workflows, application and data connections
* Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 Platform
Essential criteria
* Technical capabilities in the development of Microsoft Power Apps & foundational knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Platform.
* Strong communication skills.
* Consulting skills such as solution architecture design, and stakeholder management.
