We are currently seeking a production team leader to join our operations in Silverwater. This is a permanent full-time opportunity ideal for individuals who value long-term stability, career growth and the chance to be part of a leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a team of production workers to achieve their goals.
* Organise daily tasks including training new staff members to enhance productivity.
* Ensure daily production targets are met by implementing effective production strategies.
* Coordinate changeovers, line setups and production transitions to maintain efficiency.
* Report production issues to supervisors and maintenance teams to prevent delays.
* Ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards by enforcing proper procedures.
* Supervise staff to ensure they follow standard operating procedures.
* Health and safety – enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents.
* Identify and report hazards or near misses to prevent injuries.
* Complete daily production and performance reports to monitor progress.
* Promote good manufacturing practices (GMP) to maintain high-quality products.
* Operate computer systems efficiently.
* Handle pork and beef (raw and cooked) with care.
Requirements
* Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
* Supervisory experience with a proven track record of success.
* Familiarity with HACCP and GMP protocols.
* Availability to work an afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 2pm starts.
* Reliability and a strong work ethic.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
