About The Role
The Sacramental Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Parish Priest in the pastoral, liturgical, and administrative life of the parish.
This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering the parish sacramental program, engaging families, supporting volunteers, and ensuring compliance with Archdiocesan policies. The role requires a balance of strong organisation, pastoral sensitivity, and effective communication with families, schools, and parish communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and deliver the parish sacramental program, including preparation for Baptism, Confirmation, First Eucharist, and Reconciliation
* Communicate with parents and families throughout the sacramental journey
* Plan and facilitate parent information sessions, workshops, and sacramental preparation activities
* Maintain accurate sacramental records, enrolments, and registers
* Liaise with parish schools, APREs, and teachers to support program delivery
* Support liturgies and sacramental celebrations in collaboration with the Parish Priest
* Coordinate volunteers and ensure compliance with safeguarding and training requirements
* Manage sacramental resources and materials (certificates, booklets, etc.)
* Assist in building youth and family engagement within parish life
About You
You are a motivated and organised individual with a passion for supporting faith formation and engaging families in parish life.
You Will Bring
* Experience in parish ministry, program coordination, or a similar role
* A sound understanding of Catholic sacramental practices and liturgy
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with families and children
* The ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Parish Priest
* Confidence in coordinating events, workshops, and group sessions
