This is a fixed‐term appointment of up to 80 hours per fortnight at the Hedland Health Campus maternity unit. The role offers a Fly‐in, Fly‐Out (FIFO) arrangement with possibilities for extension or permanency.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Midwife will manage, coordinate and deliver competent nursing care for patients, using leadership and advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the practice setting.
Qualifications & Competencies
* Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence‐based midwifery care within the maternity setting.
* The ability to function as a team leader and team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Well‐developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including effective negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution.
* Demonstrated incorporation of quality and risk management principles within practice.
* Demonstrated digital capability to enable access and use of available technology for safe patient care and information availability.
