Material Coordinator

BW Offshore is looking for an experienced Material Coordinator to join our team, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent. The main objective of this role will be to coordinate and monitor materials management on the BW Opal facility and work in conjunction with onshore logistics coordinator with respect to logistics between the facility and shore. This position will be based offshore on BW Opal, on a roster basis working a 3,4,3,5 rotation.
Key tasks and responsibilities
* Logistics and warehouse management and operation of the Material Management System on the facility.
* Purchase requisitions to ensure agreed minimum stock is maintained.
* Inspection and quality control of goods and materials and implementing action to prevent non-compliant goods being used offshore.
* Keeping accurate records of parts and materials used, transferred, lost, or received, and maintaining minimum stock levels of critical spares, as defined by the Maintenance Superintendent.
* Control of stock materials, equipment, and spare parts onboard the FPSO, and ensuring that stock levels are sufficient for ongoing operations.
* Liaising with the onshore Logistics Coordinator regarding outbound / inbound movements of materials.
* Support the Deck Crew during supply vessel operations as required.
* Perform required duties as per the Emergency Response Plan.

* Relevant qualifications in logistics and material management are desirable.

Knowledge
* Experience working on an offshore production facility and/or FPSO.
* Relevant experience with CMMS / ERP systems is essential.
