This Victorian State Government Body focuses on ensuring the safe operation of the State's energy infrastructure. The department is currently leading their Legislation Reform Program, which is one of eight strategic programs which brings together all the organisation's legislative priorities over the next three-year period.
Your new role
As a Project Coordinator supporting the Head of Regulatory Policy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth project execution. Your responsibilities include:
* Organising meetings, setting up project timelines, and ensuring deadlines are met.
* You will translate raw information from planning sessions into project outputs using various tools and formats.
* Tracking project documents, including plans, reports, contracts, and other important files.
* Facilitating communication between project teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure everyone is informed.
* Assisting in resource allocation, including materials and personnel, as needed for project tasks. This includes coordinating procurement activities for the program as required.
* Monitoring project progress against milestones, ensuring deadlines are met, and reporting updates to the project manager.
* Identifying and resolving minor issues or delays that arise during the project lifecycle.
* Preparing regular project status reports for stakeholders and ensuring the regular cadence of governance activities runs smoothly.
* Managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), identifying potential risks, and escalating issues to the project manager for resolution.
* Providing general administrative support to the project team to ensure they can focus on project tasks and deliverables.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated experience and capability with the following:
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated experience in liaising with stakeholders across an organisation at differing levels
* Experience within Government in project coordination roles, ideally in an energy-related context
