The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse leader to step into a pivotal management role within an inpatient unit. You will provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high‐quality, patient‐centred care aligned with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and managing a multidisciplinary mental health inpatient team
* Overseeing clinical governance, quality and safety standards
* Managing budgets, workforce planning and resource allocation
* Driving service improvement initiatives and implementing strategic plans
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act
* Providing expert clinical leadership and consultancy across services
* Supporting recruitment, performance development and staff supervision
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery
What We're Looking For
* Registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* Significant experience in acute mental health nursing, including leadership roles
* Strong knowledge and application of the Mental Health Act (WA)
* Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and evidence‐based practice
* Highly developed problem‐solving, analytical and decision‐making abilities
* Experience working in rural or remote settings (desirable)
* Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, management or mental health (desirable)
