Enrolled Nurse (HVPH) Transition to Acute Care Program

* Be paid to train in an 8-week structured transition program, starting 13 th October 2025
* Opportunity for current ENs with a minimum of 2 years of experience post registration ideally with time in rehabilitation or aged care
* Permanent employment from day one, with successful participants to join our team

Are you an experienced Enrolled Nurse (EN) interested in transitioning your career to the acute hospital environment? Healthscope are offering a career shaping opportunity to train and transition to our Hunter Valley Private Hospital's Rehabilitation Unit that is quite a high level of acuity and complexity.

We are providing the opportunity for an enrolled nurse to gain experience and training specialising in acute care through a contemporary market leading career pathway program, designed to accelerate learning whilst providing a nurturing and supportive environment, with guaranteed employment and commitment to ongoing professional development.

As the only national private hospital operator and healthcare provider in Australia, Healthscope's 37 sites offer a range of acute, medical, surgical, mental health and rehabilitation services to the communities we care for.

About the role

We have designed a market leading 8-week Transition to Acute Care Nursing Program, with the successful participants to join our team part-time (approx 60 hours per fortnight)

* 13 th October 2025 start date with permanent employment from day one
* Partner with highly experienced Clinical Preceptors dedicated to supporting your development
* Experience a blended learning program with on-the-job training supported by comprehensive Training Materials and Coaching
* National study sessions to connect with fellow participants in the program
* Celebrate your achievements at the program graduation ceremony

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

* Permanent work rights within Australia with no restrictions (unfortunately temporary visas and sponsorship cannot be considered for this program)
* A Working with Children Check, National Police Check or be willing to obtain
* At least two years of EN experience post registration in rehabilitation, aged care or community nursing
* Enrolled nurse qualifications with current AHPRA registration
* A genuine passion to transition into the acute hospital environment and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and development
* F lexibility and the ability to adapt to a changing clinical landscape
* The ability to commit to a rotating roster including AM, PM/nights, weekends and public holidays, with shifts ranging from 7.6 to 9 hours
