With a strong focus on prevention and early intervention, our services provide safe accommodation, holistic case management, community outreach, and programs that teach vital independent living skills.Our centres are safe and supportive environments where participants feel believed in, valued, listened to, and respected — creating the ideal conditions for growth and empowerment.# **About the role**As an Assertive Outreach Worker, you will proactively engage young people aged 14–24 in community settings, including public spaces and temporary accommodation. You will provide holistic support to those who are marginalised, excluded, or disconnected from services, offering advice, information, referral, and case management to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.You will build trust through consistent and meaningful engagement, linking young people to housing, health, employment, and community services. The role also involves after-hours outreach as required.Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Alice Springs, NT.# **How you will make an impact*** Be a consistent, trusted presence for young people in the community* Provide case management and practical support that empowers self-determination* Link clients to housing, health, education, and community services* Respond to immediate needs through assertive outreach, including after-hours support* Advocate for young people with government and non-government agencies* Ensure safety and wellbeing through safeguarding and mandatory reporting practices# **What you will bring*** A degree in social work, welfare, community development, or related field* Experience working with young people and knowledge of the sector* Strong communication and relationship-building skills* Current Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check* Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate# **What we offer*** We know our people are our greatest strength.
