The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, Executive Lounge and 12 meeting spaces collectively totaling 1800m2. Located at the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal, it is the first accommodation, meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.
Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is currently seeking a Hotel Manager - Rooms Division, overseeing the Front Office operations and coordinating with Housekeeping & Reservations teams at a senior leadership level for Pullman & ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels. You will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the Rooms Division functions run smoothly, with a key focus on customer service.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading front office teams across both hotels.
- Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper and Reservations Manager.
- Assisting with the development, centralisation and standardisation of core processes, systems, contracts, and standards.
- Actively managing payroll, rostering, and staff development.
- Offer strong focus on training and team development.
- Creating and supporting a great culture within the front office teams in line with Hotel Groups values.
- Supporting the health, wellbeing and development of the existing team and actively growing a team for the future.
- Strong organisational and operational skills and must be a natural leader.
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
- Outstanding communication skills and impeccable personal presentation.
- Have previous demonstrated experience in motivating, training and engaging a team of guest service professionals.
- Design and implement processes and procedures to ensure outstanding guest service is delivered on every occasion.
- Hands on management style with proven leadership qualities.
- Effective communication skills with hotel staff, management and suppliers.
- Have a sound understanding of Opera property management system or equivalent.
- Understanding emergency response procedures
- Computer literate with strong administration skills.
- Flexible working hours including the ability to work weekends, public holidays, morning and night shifts.
