About the Role:
Working with a Federal Government end client, they are seeking a skilled & detail-oriented Performance Test engineer with hands-on experience in LoadRunner (Min 4 years experience).
You will be responsible to ensure scalability, reliability and responsiveness of the applications under varying load conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather business requirements.
* Identify critical test scenarios for load tests.
* Design performance test scripts using LoadRunner.
* Execute peak test, stress test, endurance tests etc.
* Monitor the system health during the runs using provided APM.
* Identify performance bottlenecks & work with Dev teams to resolve.
* Publish comprehensive & detailed reports to the client.
* Work in coordination with different teams.
* Mentor the other resources in the team.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong experience with LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis etc.)
* Proficiency across different protocols – Web ( Web Services, etc.
* Strong foundation & experience of the load testing concepts - requirements gathering, workload design & analysis, test plan compilation, scripting, execution, reporting, bottleneck detection, etc.
* Apt knowledge for system health monitoring – proven monitoring experience.
* Understanding of software performance metrics and KPIs.
* A good understanding of systems in different terrain/platforms – Cloud, On-Premises, etc.
* Nice to have ALM-PC hands-on skills.
* Good communication and documentation skills.
* Team Player, collaborative, articulator
What is on offer:
* This is a contract position and can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide or Perth.
Security Requirements :
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current AGSVA Security Clearance (minimum Baseline).
