Queensland Greyhound Racing Club has commenced operations to The Q, a new state of the art greyhound racing facility in Purga, situated on the outskirts of Ipswich. The facility includes 3 separate race tracks, a community club complete with a 350 seat restaurant, sports bar, a gaming room with 60 machines.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. Managing the accounts receivable process include reconciliation of daily takings for the bistro, gaming and debtor invoicing.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Process invoices and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
* Verify and reconcile statements for both debtors and creditors
* Communicate with debtors and creditors to resolve any payment issues
* Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
* Prepare and process weekly payment runs
* Assist with month-end closing procedures
* Provide admin support to the General Manager, as needed
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an accounts or finance officer role
* Bachelor's degree or Diploma in accounting, finance, or related field
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, specifically MYOB
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
* Experience working in licenced venue’s preferable.
