The Role As a member of the Basins' Project Management Office, you will join a small, dynamic, and results-oriented team operating under the Great Artesian Basin Rehabilitation Program.
This program delivers substantial funds for on-ground works to support sustainable and efficient use of water resources across Queensland.
In this role, you will assist with implementing and improving contract and project management procedures, liaise with rural stakeholders and clients regarding funding applications and contracts, and provide authoritative advice on departmental information, record-keeping, and reporting systems.
Key Accountabilities -Operate independently and as part of a high-functioning team to achieve departmental objectives.
-Assist with assessing and processing grant funding applications and provide initial advice to landholders and internal clients.
-Acquire and apply knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and procedures to contribute to process improvements.
-Maintain integrity, transparency, and a solutions-focused approach to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
-Operate a variety of software packages to deliver quality customer service.
-Provide project support by maintaining client and contract records, databases, and assisting with corporate functions such as asset management and purchasing.
-Other duties as directed.
About You -Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
-Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
-Proficient written and oral communication skills.
-Skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) are highly desirable.
-A "C" class driver's licence is highly regarded.
-Willingness to travel, including outside normal office hours and overnight stays.
