Job Opportunity: Experienced Chef Required
We are seeking a skilled and motivated chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Oaks Broome Hotel. As an experienced Commis Chef, you will play a key role in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
* Assist in day-to-day kitchen operations across Restaurant, Conferences and Events, and Room Service facilities.
* Report directly to the Executive Chef and contribute to the preparation and cooking of menu items in line with recipes and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
2. Support the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours.
3. Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and comply with relevant health and safety guidelines.
4. Assist in the training, coaching, and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.
5. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
6. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service delivery and a positive work environment.
Requirements:
* Relevant Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience in a similar kitchen role is essential.
* Knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine and a strong understanding of HACCP standards and OH&S requirements.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
* Self-motivated and willing to learn and take on new challenges.
