Your next opportunity involves overseeing the day-to-day performance of both Hall and Mugga quarry businesses in Canberra, ACT. This dynamic role contributes to key areas including safety, environment, quality control, and performance.
Optimise plant and equipment performance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading by example to foster a Zero Harm safety culture across all sites and teams
* Promoting safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
* Working closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure daily maintenance plans are executed efficiently
* Overseeing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with requirements
* Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work and ensuring high-quality maintenance standards
* Overseeing and executing the preventative maintenance program for all fixed and mobile equipment
* Coordinating maintenance schedules with operational demands to meet production targets
Required Skills and Qualifications
Degree, Diploma, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Boilermaking (preferred)
Experience in quarrying, mining, or materials handling is essential
Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role
Strong background in crushing and screening equipment and heavy mobile equipment is highly regarded
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong planning and scheduling abilities
