About This Role
We are currently partnering with a leading tier-one mining business to recruit an experienced Structural Project Engineer to join their project development team. This is a key role supporting the early phases of capital projects and studies across major operational sites.
The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, supporting the development and evaluation of high-value infrastructure initiatives within the resources sector.
Duties:
* Lead engagement with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define and refine project scopes.
* Oversee scope development for structural components of capital projects and studies.
* Prepare and manage detailed budgets, capturing both internal resources and external consultancy costs.
* Coordinate and manage external consultants to ensure alignment with technical standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
* Conduct detailed research to support engineering studies and project justifications.
* Develop and evaluate business cases to support investment decisions.
* Prepare high-quality technical documentation and reports for internal governance and approvals.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* 8-12+ years' experience in project engineering, with a focus on structural works within mining, heavy industrial, or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable
* Prior experience in consultancy, EPCM, or owner-side project environments is highly desirable.
* Proven ability to manage complex scopes across multiple stakeholders.
* Strong commercial and technical report writing skills.
