We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Data & QA Assistant to support our Production and Quality Analyst in production planning, stock control, and quality assurance processes within our nursery operations.
About The Role
This is a hands-on and data-focused role that bridges production operations and quality systems. Reporting to the Production & Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of stock data, supporting traceability, and maintaining quality standards across the nursery.

Key Responsibilities Include
Stock Control & Data Management
Conduct weekly and monthly stocktakes across the nursery to support production planning
Accurately enter stocktake data and reconcile physical stock with system records
Investigate and report discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of plant movement and production, including tagging, mapping, and traceability
Production Data & Reporting
Collect and enter daily production data
Maintain up-to-date records to support operational reporting
Assist with data integrity and system accuracy
Quality Assurance
Perform pre-dispatch quality checks in line with customer specifications and maintain weekly QA checklists
Ensure correct labelling of plants, varieties, and batches throughout the nursery
Operational Support
Provide hands-on support during peak production and dispatch periods, including potting, spacing, sorting and grading, and plant movement
Compliance
Adhere to workplace health & safety, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols
Support continuous improvement of QA and operational processes
Assist with ad hoc operational and administrative tasks as required
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Strong attention to detail and high data accuracy
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Experience with data entry and reconciliation processes combined with good numerical skills and analytical capability
Ability to work both independently and within a production team
Practical understanding of stock control or inventory systems (desirable)
Experience in horticulture, agriculture, nursery, or production environments (highly regarded but not essential)
Physical capacity to work in a nursery environment
