Our client is a respected community services organisation delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support to individuals and families impacted by family violence. Their programs focus on safety, recovery, and long-term wellbeing through collaborative and evidence-based practice.
The Opportunity
We're seeking dedicated and compassionate Family Violence Practitioners (FVPs) and Specialist Family Violence Practitioners (SFVPs) to join supportive, trauma-informed teams across Victoria. In these rewarding roles, you will:
* Work directly with clients experiencing or at risk of family violence, providing assessment, safety planning, and case management
* Develop tailored support and recovery plans that promote safety, stability, and empowerment
* Coordinate with internal teams and partner agencies to ensure effective, wrap‑around support
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with organisational policies and sector standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement and reflective practice within a supportive team environment
You'll work within MARAM, FVISS, and CISS frameworks, using evidence‑based, trauma‑informed approaches to help individuals and families achieve safety and long-term recovery. You'll be supported through regular supervision, reflective practice, and a strong culture of collaboration.
About You
* A Bachelor qualification in Social Work (or equivalent under Victoria's Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Family Violence Practitioners)
* Experience in family violence, crisis intervention, or related community services
* Strong understanding of risk assessment and trauma‑informed practice
* Excellent communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills
* A current Victorian driver's licence, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check
