The role of a Senior Placement Coordinator is to plan and coordinate responses for Out of Home Care for statutory Child Protection clients, ensuring the best possible placement arrangements. This involves providing monitoring and support to existing placements to guarantee optimum outcomes.

This position requires close collaboration with Child Protection, Community Service Organisations, and sector partners to develop safe, nurturing, and stable placement arrangements that meet the needs of children in care.

Key responsibilities include:

* Undertaking active placement referrals on behalf of Child Protection for children who require placement in Out of Home Care.
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex client and placement issues effectively.
* Negotiating with Child Protection and Community Service Organisations to identify suitable placements based on each child's unique needs, often requiring urgent attention.
