Farm Foods is a Geelong based food manufacturing business, specialising in valued added meat products. (eg Sausages, Hamburgers, Meat balls & Kebabs etc) From humble origins back in 2003 the business commenced as a butcher shop in the small country town of Birregurra. Now some 20 years later the business has grown to become one of Australia’s leading meat manufacturers of private label products to Australia's major supermarkets.
Please note Farm Foods does not bone or kill anything on site, it is a value add processor of raw materials. We are currently a 24 hour, 5 days a week operation with occasional Saturday work through peak periods.
Continuous Improvement Manager
The Continuous Improvement Manager is an all-encompassing role that will consistently access, monitor and enhance overall business systems and processes. It will have a key focus on training and overall employee skill through identifying process improvements and implementing changes in workflow, structure and teams to ensure increased company performance.
This position will require constant interdepartmental communication and the incumbent will be well adept in business analysis and project implementation. The position ensures direct reports are coached, mentored and trained to achieve the required performance levels. It will take a wholistic view on how internal and external processes and systems can be refined and evolved to defined outcomes.
Working collaboratively with the Production Manager, this role forms part of the leadership team and through strong manufacturing knowledge and skill will help the business achieve strategy plans and objectives.
This position is accountable to ensure that employees are not only trained correctly but can demonstrate when tested in both practical and written formats, their knowledge and skill when conducting operational procedures. Employees will be signed off on written and practical assessments once the CI Manager or delegate is satisfied an adequate level of ability has been demonstrated. They will work closely with the Training Co-ordinator to ensure adequate records are kept of any completed training. OH & S if always front of mind and a priority throughout.
Core Competencies:
A bachelor degree in business administration, process management operations or commerce advantageous but not essential
Experience in manufacturing with a particular focus on process optimization, operations & business management
Certificate IV in Training and assessment, advantageous but not essential
Strong understanding of OHS principles
Demonstrated leadership / training experience
Experience using all Microsoft office software
Demonstrated experience in record keeping
Systematic approach to processes and business operations
