About the role:
The Technology Operations team is currently seeking a Supervisor Technology Operations to join them on an 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster based at the Roy Hill mine site with occasional travel to Port Hedland and our Contract Mine sites. Reporting to the Superintendent Technology Operations, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating contractors delivering Technology capital projects across Port, Rail and Mine operations.
You will oversee day‑to‑day site execution, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, Roy Hill standards and technical specifications. The position manages scheduling, work fronts, interfaces with multiple disciplines, and ensures quality installation, commissioning and handover to Technology Operations.
Strong site presence, communication, contractor management and leadership are essential to deliver safe, efficient and compliant project outcomes.
Duties:
* Ensure Technology scope is executed to required standards, specifications, and engineering quality expectations.
* Coordinate access, outages, change windows, and integration activities with operational technology systems.
* Oversee installation works to ensure compliance with Technology quality (e.g., cabling, racking, terminations, antenna installations, network equipment).
* Monitor contractor performance against scope, safety, schedule, and quality requirements
* Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, incidents, and compliance in approved systems.
* Ensure all statutory documentation, approvals, and appointment records are up to date and available for audit.
* Support project controls by ensuring adherence to scope, quality, risk, cost, and schedule requirements.
* Ensure readiness checklists, pre‑start checks, and hold points are met before work progresses.
* Ensure strong collaboration between contractors, Technology teams, and site operational groups.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in mining, construction, or major project environments.
* Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certification desirable
* Low Voltage Rescue & CPR certification desirable
* Relevant experience in Operational Readiness within technology or mining
* Experience supervising or leading contractors on site.
* Background in mining, remote site operations, or 24/7 operational environments.
* Field experience with communications technologies (LTE, TETRA, wireless, IPW, radio).
* Experience working with networking hardware, antennas, cabling, and field communications systems.
* Experience coordinating maintenance, work scheduling, or contractor management.
